February 11th - 19th
2012 - Love Food Week!
The
Larder is holding its annual Love Food Week - a week-long
celebration of food, packed with The Larder's favourite suppliers
who will be offering tastings of their products together with
information on how they are produced.
SATURDAY 11th - Come along to our food marquee, buy a beer
from our mini beer festival and wander around the stalls,
sampling some lovely foodie delights as you go. Little Melton
gourmet yogurts will be there, accompanied by My Dream Preserve,
Sloe Motion, Corkers crisps and Pavitt's Pies. Craig from
the Willow Tree in Bourn will be doing some exciting cookery
demos, Duncan from COFCO will talk about buying locally and
Access Art will have some fun and foodie art activities!
SUNDAY 12th - Come and get some love themed gift inspiration
for Valentine's Day! Come and meet Hannah and sample her wonderful
cake pops, and Biscotti di Debora with her amazing Italian
cupcakes, try some Sri Lankan tea and get your nails painted
by Dragonfly (Burwash's beauty spa) before browsing around
the vintage clothing, accessories and tableware section in
our lovely marquee!
MONDAY 13th- We're passionate about cheese in The Larder,
some come along and sample our favourites. Learn how to make
the perfect cheeseboard, and see if you can taste the difference
between artisan and supermarket cheeses.
TUESDAY 14th - Call in on Valentine's Day and try some sweet
treats!
WEDNESDAY 15th - Pop by for a gourmet charcuterie spread in
The Larder
THURSDAY 16th - Come along and get some ideas for quick and
easy suppers - we will be cooking up Gustosecco risottos,
Spice n Tice curries and Fresh Pasta's ravioli!
FRIDAY 17th - 6pm to 8pm will be our cheese and wine tasting
night! There are limited spaces for this, and tickets are
£10, so call 01223 264600 to book NOW!
SATURDAY 18th & SUNDAY 19th - Head over to our delectable
food marquee for Love Food's final weekend. As any Larder
shopper will know, we don't just focus on local, British produce,
so go and be bombarded with tastes from all over the world
- from Capsicana's Mexican chillis to Indian curries and Italian
oils- and learn how to make the perfect tiramisu with Biscotti
di Debora! Keep the children happy with fun art activities
from the RSPB and tractor trailer rides around Burwash's organic
farm.
The love starts every day at 11am ... and it's free entry!
